Meredith Wilson (1902 – 1984) was an American flutist, composer, conductor, and playwright from the Modern time period. Wilson played flute and piccolo in John Philip Sousa’s band from 1912 – 1923. Wilson is best known for his Broadway musicals, The Unsinkable Molly Brown and The Music Man (1957).
