Hilary Purrington (1990 – ) is an American living composer. She started taking piano as a child and wrote her first serious composition, a choir piece, in high school. Purrington studied music composition and won many competitions. She loves penguins, chocolate cake, and spending time outside. In 2019, Purrington composed the song “The Cold” for the book “Because by Mo Willems and Amber Ren.
