Composer Study - Franz Liszt

Franz Liszt

"Wasting time is one of the worst faults of the world. Life is so short, every moment is so precious and yet, we live as if life will never end."

Franz Liszt (1811 – 1886) was a Hungarian composer of the Romantic period. He began playing at age five and composing his own music at age nine. He studied in Paris and went on to have a wildly successful career as a performer and composer. His friends included other composers like Chopin, Robert and Clara Schumann, and Richard Wagner. He wrote the Hungarian Rhapsodies, 19 piano pieces based on Hungarian folk themes.
