Julius Fucik (1872 – 1916) was a Czech composer during the Romantic period. He composed marches, polkas, and waltzes and is sometimes known as the Bohemian Sousa. Fuck was a military musician and the bandmaster until World War 1. His most famous song, “The Entrance of the Gladiators” (1897), which now has become associated with circuses.
