Eleanor Alberga (1949 - ) is a Jamaican born composer of the modern period. She started playing piano at age 5, composing at age 10, and won a Royal Schools of Music Scholarships for the West Indies at age 19. She worked as a pianist and composer with dance companies, orchestras, stage, and screen, writing songs like Jamaican Medley. In 2021 she was awarded an OBE (Officer of the British Empire

).
